COMING SOON – Join me for my upcoming “Ask Lori” Private Community for TBI Survivors and Partners

FOUNDING MEMBERS SPECIAL INVITATION

For a limited time I’m inviting a select few TBI survivors and partners to join me in a private community. I will be going live twice per week to give you specific strategies and support. It’s called, “Going Deeper With the 7 Pathways for Reconnecting After TBI – For Couples.”

Whether you or your spouse has just suffered from a brain injury or you have had it for years, it doesn’t matter. I will share my knowledge, support, and resources that I’ve been helping thousands of people with for more than 40 years. And I want to help you, too.

Recently I have been going deeper with individuals and couples that have been affected by TBI and adapting to the “double new normal.”

Some of the topics we have discussed have been:

  • How to nicely tell a partner that they need a chance to try things and not do everything for them, with the balance of needing help sometimes also.
  • No amount of words will convince my partner that I am capable. What can I do?

  • Monitoring fatigue and emotions with your partner.

  • Feeling guilty when you just need to take some time to rest, or if you feel like you’re not able to do things.

  • How do I know if my depression and lack of motivation are caused by my brain injury?

  • How do I deal with becoming overstimulated by noise?
  • Are depression and anxiety normal after a brain injury?

  • I have changed since my brain injury. Can you help me with the shame that I feel about these changes?

  • Is my brain injury causing me to feel anxious about uncertainties COVID-19 is presenting?

Because I’ve been asked for additional resources,  I will be starting a brand new private ongoing community that will provide more access to me and a way to connect with others in a more intimate way.

We will meet on Zoom and connect via a private Facebook group. If you aren’t able to join live there will be replays available in the Facebook group.

Stay tuned for more information.

What is true is that the TBI happened to the partner or spouse. But couples need specific, quality help and tools that you can use to improve your daily life and relationship. Whether your injury happened years ago or just recently, I can help you both.

I will go deeper into the 7 Pathways covering topics like:

  • What the doctors didn’t tell you
  • Grief and loss
  • Communication
  • Sex
  • Self-care
  • Hidden blessings

You will receive:

  • Support that you can count on live two times per week in the community
  • Information and a path forward to relieve anxiety and uncertainty

  • One concrete step each week that you can learn and apply in your relationship right away

  • Accountability to support change

  • Resources to put the right team in place

  • Answers to your specific questions

  • A community of people that you can also reach out to and share ideas

This group is for couples anywhere in their recovery process. If your partner does not want to come you can join alone. It only takes one person to make a shift to have a positive impact on the relationship.

You have already lost a lot, you don’t need to lose each other.

Are you ready to have a better relationship now and accumulate strategies that you can use in your relationship for the rest of your life?
